Is Oblivion our legacy? #Blogg100

#023 [XXIII]
Will we humans be able to put a dent in the Universe? [How far can we reach ourself?]

Tonight I have seen the premier of Oblivion the movie with Tom Cruise and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. This is the third good Science Fiction movie I have seen this year. The other 2 being Cloud Atlas and John Carter.

The movie is a visual fest. An amazing movie with sceneries to die for. The Plot is far from perfect but at least it doesn’t fall apart like so many other Sci-Fi movies of late. Times flies by fast as I sit stunned by the beautiful sunset and sunrise scenes in the Skytower. The Narration turns out a little cliche. When everything else falls human ingenuity will still drive us to maximize the best out of every situation. But not here. Dare to ask yourself some tougher questions please movie makers!

Where are the big questions?

Like all great Sci-Fi Movies it must ask some important questions. What we would we humans do to survive? Will we be united or will there still be fighting amongst us self over power and different ideas?

What legacy will we leave behind?

Will we fall into oblivion after we flourish? How long can we make the human civilization to last? These are question that this movie doesn’t dare to ask. We can just feel a hint of them under the surface. But still these are questions that we should be asking ourself.
